WHAT EXACTLY HAPPENED ON THIS DAY OF 30 APRIL 2008

Big Girl

Nanette wa Papa

At 3 am in the morning, Precious woke up and start complaining about stomach disorder. I asked her, ‘Is it a normal stomach ache or it’s something new to you.’

“No Solomon, It’s not normal”. She said.

‘You want to give birth.’ I said while pulling the blanket and returning to my sleep. There were the 2 of us in the room.

At 5 am, she woke me up again. I told her that she is about to give birth and there was no need to panic.

I watched her pulling me and calling her mother’s name who was 550 km away from Maputo.

Whenever she wanted to go to the bathroom she would pull me around.

When it was 7am I helped her bath, then my friend came with his car. We took Precious to the nearest hospital which was 4-5 minutes drive.

It was about 8am when I left Precious at the Chamanculo Hospital.

Within an hour I received a call that she has a baby girl already. I was happy, very happy.

Strange enough, I came with all my baby clothes we bought and her bathing basin. People looked and laughed at me as I marched to hospital in a happy mood carrying the baby basin and many baby clothes.

I and Precious took care of our child without any help from anybody while she was very young. We learnt to bath her, feed her, dress her and we monitored her, changing from one stage to another.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANETTE. WE LOVE YOU.

It was a great long weekend. Our church, the Westside Christian Fellowship Assembly had gathered at Altelekker, just around Pretoria to celebrate the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. We were joined by other branches from Tshwane and Gauteng district.

The Mondlane's were part of the gathering. It was great. I mean very great.

Jesus Really Loves Me - You are a blessing Nanie

My Little girl
Jesus Really loves me
by
Steve Israel
Verse 1)
You were singing little songs to Jesus
When you weren't even two years old
I still remember the night at a party
You pulled a string on a singing doll
As it started to sing, "Jesus Loves Me"
I almost fell out of my chair
When right on cue you sang it too
Thought I heard two little angels there
But this I know...

(Chorus)
Jesus really loves me
For He gave me my little girl
Jesus really loves me
She's the sweetest gift in this world

(Verse 2)
On the day we welcomed your arrival
I was so overjoyed I cried
Now in the blink of an eye you are grown up
Where did time get its wings to fly?
As he placed the ring on your finger
I almost fell out of my chair
When right on cue you said, "I do"
Think I left my heart in pieces there
But this I know...

(Chorus)
Jesus really loves me
For He gave me my little girl
Jesus really loves me
She's the sweetest gift in this world

(Bridge)
Yes, I know my Jesus loves me
The Bible tells me so its true
But so do her eyes whenever she smiles
And says, "Daddy, I love you."

(Chorus)
Jesus really loves me
For He gave me my little girl
Jesus really loves me
She's the sweetest gift in this world

(Ending)
You were singing little songs to Jesus
When you weren't even two years old

The Miracle Child-Baby Nanette

Sisters in hands; Nanette with Tracy

Nanette
Precious and Baby Nanette

Click below to watch the grown Nanette:

The Miracle Child
Hardly a month after the birth of baby Nanette, we moved as a family to stay in Mbabane Swaziland.

We lived in Mbabane. When Nanette was 3 months old, she was attacked by cholera. This disease had been killing children left, right and centre.

I remember, I and Precious were surrounded by nurses in Mbabane Government Hospital, telling us that ; Nanette will not live to see the next day.

Precious was crying like a small baby, and I was holding Nanette. I told Precious one sentence. “Baby, Lift up your eyes to the hills; that’s where our help comes from.”

I was shivering while holding the little helpless Nanette. One Doctor called us to his office. He gave us salt and sugar mixture and warned us not to sleep, but to feed the baby until morning.

We left. On arrival we started spoon feeding Nanette as the Doctor have said. We sang praises to God and prayed. No one slept or dozed that night.

Towards morning, Nanette looked much better. Early in the morning we took her to hospital and the Doctor assured us that she was okay. He gave us medicine. Since then, Nanette has never been sick.

Thank you Jesus. Nanette is growing.
