Reconcilliation-Repentance-Forgiveness (Workshop)

(Symbol of Trinity)

“It’s not God’s purpose for the world to suffer, but all things work together for good to all those who love Him no matter what the enemy has done to you.”  That's how the workshop on Reconcilliation-Repentance-Forgiveness started. This was organised by the Mercy Ministries - SA over the past weekend and hosted by the Maranatha Christian Fellowship in Kugerspdorp.

What God did in the beginning? God created man in His own image. In the image of God, all Nations were created. It was God’s aim that we were created differently; in colour of skin, in the way we speak and in different shapes. We were created so beautifully so that we may beautify the earth, which was good in God’s eyes.

God knew that when we multipy we would not look alike, but the devil is using this to devide God’s Holy Nation.

Now, how it happened that we seperated amongst our ethnic groups, amongst races; and what will it take to reconcile?

It starts with arguments. It starts in our families were we are taught we are better than others; that some ethnics or nations are inferior than us.

A child is born spotless; knowing no boundaries. But as soon as he/she is in this world, slowly but surely he/she is fed wrong information about others and about him/herself.

We start blaming the circumstances around us; we start pushing the blames to other people and our minds are automatically tuned to nagativity.

(Signs of hatred towards one ethnic group)

But as the children of God we need to understand reconcilliation from the word of God. The main thing is; who we are in God. The word of God is where we find the beginning and the end of our lives. It is through God’s word that we can reconcile. Whatever is happening around us, e.g. xenophobia, racism, God is watching us as His children and He loves us the same way.

We all know God’s Trinity: God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. In this Trinity we find; Unity, Trust, Love, Caring on One another, Agreement, Peace, Mutual Respect, Understanding, Obedience and etc. This tells us how God wanted us to be. In God there are all those good qualities. To be different it’s not a problem in the sight of God. Whatever God created in the beginning, God applauded Himself saying it was good.

God was so glad when he created a human being. God was very happy when he created a human being. We were not just created, but God took His time when He created man. But because of sin, the problem started.

We always name people and judge them. The way we treat one another is not the way we were supposed to.

Prejudice: This is an unfair feeling against one another. Where you start judging others (This type of group is like that; that is like this and we are better of than that. That’s prejudice we are practising)
